80 years after the end of the Second World War, we are asking ourselves how Jewish life in Germany is today - a question that could hardly be more topical. Anti-Semitic incidents are on the rise, while at the same time many people are committed to a diverse, open society. Which developments give hope, which cause concern? What role does the culture of remembrance play and what does Jewish identity mean in the 21st century?
We will address these and other questions on this special evening together with Dr. Josef Schuster, President of the Central Council of Jews in Germany, at the Bergson Academy. In a discussion, we will take a look at the past, analyze the present and talk about perspectives for the future of Jewish life in Germany.
