How do you open a center of gravity?
All, really all "Bergsonians" were eagerly awaiting the opening of the Bergson Kunstkraftwerk. For all colleagues, it is the greatest joy when it finally gets underway. I myself have been involved in the project for around two years. We've been working on assumptions ever since: This is how it could work, this is what we could do, but also that. This is what it could feel like to stage music in the huge former Kesselhalle, we could reach a large audience with this program, this format would really be completely new. Everything conjunctive, everything in the imagination, in the space of the theoretical. It's also fun because it allows everything and enables maximum creativity. But it is also a challenge. Because it only becomes alive and tangible when such a project becomes reality.

In this respect, all dry-swimming exercises are over, we can - and must - now enter the water. We want to and will finally get to know the place that we have planned and continue to plan with so much passion. And with you - our audience.

It will be a journey of adventure, of constant discovery and growth. We propagate #culturalgravity on Instagram. The Bergson Kunstkraftwerk as a planetary system, as a cultural attraction, as a center of gravity consists of many "stars", i.e. facets: art, cuisine, concerts, educational topics, party, beer garden... And we want to discover these with you, star by star. That's why we're not opening all at once, with a big bang, but step by step. It starts on

April 09. The atrium, the huge former boiler hall of the heating plant, is ready. This means that from now on you can experience concerts in this room - both seated and without seating. From April 13, you can visit our restaurant Zeitlang in the evening or eat and drink in the daytime bar Anima from April 20.

The gallery in the silos continues on May 7. Where coal used to be stored, in the iconic silos, you can now marvel at fine art free of charge and without admission - and buy it if you like! It all starts with the artist Monira Al Qadiri, who will also be represented with very large works in the atrium. She is part of the KÖNIG GALERIE in Berlin, which is our partner. So there's already a lot going on in the old building, and things will continue in June with the new building and the first major company events.

The coal silos are only a small part of the approximately 2,000 square meters that we have reserved for contemporary art. The first exhibition in the new building will open in mid-July. A completely different sense of space than in the silos, and therefore completely different works on display. What remains the same? No admission fee, just drop by! More information about the program will follow (it's a journey of discovery!). While our beer garden will also open over the summer, we are eagerly awaiting the keystone of this string of openings: the first concert in our Elektra Tonquartier concert hall on 9 October. It will be our own production, a completely new format that will bring the special acoustic features of the space to life. Because there is no other hall like it in Bavaria - that's a promise!

Are you up for it? Will you join us on the journey? We need you! Because the Bergson Kunstkraftwerk should be a place for the audience and we can only create such a place with the audience. We're really looking forward to it and have a big goal: we want you to "experience culture in a new way".
