FAQs – FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Do you have any questions? We have the answers.
In this FAQ, you'll find the most frequently asked questions and key information about your visit to the Bergson Kunstkraftwerk.
1. PARKING, FEES & PAYMENT
Do I have to pay parking fees even though the barrier opens automatically?
Yes, parking is subject to a fee. The parking system uses automatic license plate recognition, so the barrier opens automatically when you enter and exit.
Payment is made upon leaving the premises in one of the following ways:
- Online using the QR code at the front desk (payment by credit card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay)
- At the parking meters on both sides of the parking lot (payment accepted in cash or by card)
Parking is free for the first 30 minutes; after that, the rate is 1.50 euros per hour. The maximum daily rate is 9.00 euros. If the machine issued a credit slip, it means there wasn’t enough change available. In this case, please simply come to the front desk and present the slip. We will, of course, reimburse you for the outstanding amount.

4. FIRST VISIT & ON-SITE QUOTE
This is my first time here—what's there to see?
The Bergson Kunstkraftwerk offers a unique combination of culture, art, and enjoyment—with a varied program of events, several galleries featuring rotating exhibitions, and a diverse culinary selection. Guests can purchase tickets to attend cultural events, visit the gallery spaces for free, enjoy a coffee or drink at the day bar, or dine at the Zeitlang restaurant.
A special highlight is the glass elevator next to the restaurant entrance, which rises 25 meters and offers an impressive view of the historic boiler hall. Afterward, you can visit the gallery in the silos on the second floor.
Important to know: We cannot guarantee access to the premises due to regularly scheduled private or corporate events.
5. VISITING THE CONCERT HALL & ADMISSION
Is there anything I should keep in mind when attending an event at a concert hall?
What entrances are there?
Admission to the Elektra Tonquartier (concert hall) generally begins 30 minutes before the event starts. We ask that you arrive on time and take your seat before the event begins. Please do not bring food or drinks into the concert hall. To ensure an undisturbed concert experience for all guests, we also ask that you do not leave the hall while the event is in progress. If you do leave the concert hall or arrive late, we cannot guarantee immediate re-entry.
Depending on your seat, we recommend different entrances:
- For seats in rows 1–10: the lower entrance of the Elektra Tonquartier in the basement of the foyer
- For seats in rows 11–21 and on the balcony: the upper entrance to the Elektra Tonquartier next to the Freiraum
6. ATRIUM & CURRENT USE
How can I tell if the atrium is accessible?
The Atrium is generally open during regular business hours, but access may be restricted due to private events or closed-door events.
On the website’s homepage, scroll down to find a current 3-day schedule showing the daily opening hours for each area.
7. DOGS IN THE HOUSE
Are dogs allowed at Bergson?
Dogs are welcome in the foyer, atrium, and on the terrace. Dogs are not permitted in any other areas, particularly in the restaurant, gallery spaces, and event rooms.
8. ACCESSIBILITY
Is the Bergson Kunstkraftwerk accessible?
The entire Bergson Kunstkraftwerk grounds are accessible. Parking spaces for people with disabilities are available on both sides of the parking lot, and there are three accessible restrooms:
- in the atrium
- in the basement of the foyer
- across from the Barbastelle
All relevant areas are accessible by elevator. Our team is available to assist you at any time if needed. Wheelchair-accessible seating at the Elektra Tonquartier can only be reached via the entrance to the concert hall on the ground floor.
9. RESTROOMS & ELEVATORS
Where are the guest restrooms?

- A guest elevator in the gallery stairwell (connecting to the foyer in the basement, both gallery levels, and the 2nd floor/loft)
10. EVENT VENUES & WAYFINDING
Where can I find the venue for my event?
The venue for each event is listed directly below the event on www.bergson.com/programm —in the top-left corner, next to the date and time. It is also listed on purchased tickets.

An event says "Few tickets available," but I can't buy any tickets. Why is that?

13. CANCELLATION & CHANGE OF RESERVATION
Can I return or cancel tickets due to illness?
Unfortunately, tickets that have already been purchased cannot be canceled. Even in the event of illness, a refund of the ticket price is not possible. However, tickets can be rebooked up to two days before the event.
Here’s how to rebook your tickets yourself:
- Open your order confirmation
- Click on "View Order"
- Select "Change Tickets"
