Since April 2024, we have been welcoming our guests to the Bergson Kunstkraftwerk in Munich Aubing on 20,000 square meters and awakening their enthusiasm. From the extraordinarily diverse cultural program, which includes concerts of all music genres (from classical to techno), parties, family performances, talk formats, lectures and much more. From the fine arts, which we exhibit on an extraordinary amount of space. Of the quality and modern variety of food with which our gastronomy outlets (the casual fine dining restaurant Zeitlang, the Anima day bar, our live club Barbastelle, the outdoor terrace and the beer garden) cater to every taste. And from the flair that the Bergson exudes as an exclusively bookable venue for private and corporate events with its hyper-flexible room concept, state-of-the-art technical equipment and architectural beauty.

In order to operate our 20,000 m² space - with concert hall, live club, twelve event rooms, our five catering areas and much more - safely and efficiently, we need a powerful team in our event technology department. We are therefore looking for a full-time or part-time permanent position as soon as possible for a

Specialist for event technology (m/f/d)

for the new, spectacular music, art, culture, gastronomy and event highlight in Munich.

Your tasks

  • You ensure the technically and organizationally flawless and efficient operation of the in-house event technology
  • Together with your teammates from event technology and from our diverse business areas (primarily cultural operations with in-house and guest productions, convention & event, gallery and academy), you will plan the technical requirements of events and prepare them after they have been held
  • In day-to-day production, you will be responsible for the set-up and dismantling as well as the smooth running of events
  • You will take care of the maintenance, servicing and testing of our event technology and take care of the corresponding documentation
  • You will support the installation of new technology
  • You will work closely with our external service providers

Please bring

  • You have a degree as an event technology specialist or from a comparable technical profession and/or have successfully completed a relevant degree (e.g. event management and technology, theater and event technology, theater and event management) and/or have a specialization in the field of event technology or a comparable qualification
  • You have several years of relevant professional experience from self-employment or permanent employment in the event industry, e.g. from a theater, event center, trade fair company, TV/broadcasting company or from a service company in the event industry
  • You are fit in the areas of safety in event technology, technical standards, legal and accident prevention regulations and ideally experienced in working with CAD (Vectorworks)
  • You are willing to work at weekends, in the evening or at night after prior, timely consultation
  • You have agility, initiative and a hands-on mentality and are a convincing team player
  • Your oral and written German language skills are very good (C1/C2), your written and spoken English skills are good (at least B2)
