Over three evenings, "Collecting art - between artist, market and provenance" deals with the art market, the building of a collection and, in particular, sheds light on the handling of Nazi-looted and refugee art and addresses the debate on the restitution of objects from the colonial era.
The series will take place over three evenings and on the first date will deal with collecting itself, with Sophie Neuendorf from Artnet, the leading price database in the art market, Diandra Donecker, managing director and partner of the Berlin auction house Grisebach, and Philipp Herzog Württemberg, Art Advisory and long-standing European head of the auction house Sotheby's, joining us.
