Amelie Diana & Andreas Bittl. „A Weihnachtsgschicht“
Cabaret at Bergson Kunstkraftwerk

The two Münchner Kindl, cabaret artist Amelie Diana (formerly Liesl Weapon) and actor Andreas Bittl, have translated Charles Dickens' famous Christmas story "A Christmas Carol" from 1843 into Bavarian and turned it into a scenic evening with music, which they are now staging for the eighth year in a row.

Sometimes humorous, sometimes contemplative, they tell the story of the cold-hearted businessman Eberhard Gschaftl, who lives in 19th century Munich. The old grump is haunted by three ghosts who confront him with his previous existence, causing the decades-old wall around his heart to crumble. The story is framed by old Bavarian Christmas carols, traditional dances and subtle pub music with accordion and guitar. A program just like Christmas itself: sensual, soulful and sweet.

Always included: lots of little wooden stars, made and donated by a carpenter friend, which are thematically woven into the story and which the audience can take home at the end of each performance for a donation of their choice. The donations go to the Munich-based association Zeltschule e.V., which builds schools directly in refugee camps in Lebanon and Syria.
