In our new "Bergson Artists Spotlight" series, we would like to regularly introduce you to individual members of our Bergson Artists. The Bergson Artists are around 100 hand-picked musicians, composers and creatives from the Munich scene, with whom Bergson Kunstkraftwerk realizes many exciting in-house productions. The Munich composer and producer Richard Ruzicka kicks off this series.
Richard Ruzicka (*1994) is an award-winning film composer who is known for his work on renowned productions. During his studies, he composed the music for four episodes of the crime series "Tatort". In 2018, he was awarded the Rolf-Hans Müller Prize for Film Music for his composition for BR-Polizeiruf 110: "Nachtdienst". His best-known works include the film scores for "LenaLove" (feature film 2016), "Feinde - Recht oder Gerechtigkeit nach Ferdinand von Schirach" (ARD 2020), "Der Parfumeur" (Netflix 2022) and "Aus meiner Haut" (feature film 2022). In keeping with this spotlight, Richard's new single "Artura" is released - a track that gets to the heart of his characteristic sound. "Artura" unfolds an epic soundscape: electronic beats meet orchestral expanses, driving rhythms merge with deep, almost meditative soundscapes. The piece builds up like a cinematic drama in which emotion and tension play equal roles. The extreme dynamic range and the detailed, cinematic sound design make "Artura" an intense listening experience.
Listen on Spotify from January 31st!
Richard Ruzicka can currently be heard with two compositions in our own production "HEAT!". The next opportunity to hear this immersive concert highlight live will be on 01.02.25 and 08.02.25.
