Leonhard Kuhn

Composition, live electronics, guitar, arrangement

Leonhard is an absolute rarity in many respects. What makes him unique above all is the combination of his preferences and talents. As a composer, mathematician, guitarist, electronics engineer and part-time philosopher, he has a very special approach to art and has been writing one stroke of musical genius after another onto our shapeless techno big band bodies for many years. He would prefer to play every part himself so that he can really be sure that everything imaginable is demanded of the instruments. The North German bon vivant answers questions about his techno compositions, which are inspired by mathematics and philosophy, with chronic understatement and the composure of a kindergarten teacher. In the background, however, he meticulously and willingly ensures that the Jazzrausch Bigband does not get lost in a swamp of commercial trivialities. Leonhard loves smoking and hates uniforms. On stage, he often looks like an amiable professor who, intoxicated after a long rave in his Prague artist's residence, has mixed his grandfather's and mother's clothing collection. We consider ourselves lucky to be his guinea pigs and are very proud to have such an experimental scholar among us.
