MINI EUROPE

Musical playground in the atrium

January 14-18, 2026

Playground in the atrium of the Bergson Kunstkraftwerk
Musical playground in the atrium

In the middle of the atrium, the 25-metre-high former boiler hall of the BERGSON, a place full of imagination, curiosity and music is being created to accompany theNEUROPE Festival: a musical pop-up playground for children! Here you can build your very own Europe of the future out of cardboard boxes, tulle, masking tape and colorful materials.

The creative hustle and bustle is accompanied by musical surprises, performed live by students of the Munich University of Music and Performing Arts under the direction of pianist Hanni Liang. Improvised sounds mingle with cardboard castles, music becomes part of the game and you are right in the middle of it.

So come along, play along, listen - and discover the Bergson in a completely different way.

Food and drinks are available on site in our day bar Anima.

Concerts and workshops for children and families

14.01. - Workshop Musical journey to Spain, 16h

Which song comes to mind when you think of Europe? We go on a musical journey to Spain, where we sing and move together. Be part of it!

15.01. - Workshop WaterSound, 16h

What does water sound like? Liquid, solid, gaseous - each form has its own sound. With filled glasses, viola and piano, we explore the acoustic properties of water. The children experiment, draw and help shape the sounds. A hands-on concert workshop.

16.01. - Workshop Eu(e)ropa, 16h
What does a sea breeze sound like? What music tells of cold? Recorder, viola and horn will take you on a journey through Europe - from Halvorsen to Stamitz and Bartók. The children paint, write and create an exhibition to accompany the sounds. A synthesis of music, words and creation.

17.01. - Concert: Journey to the Far West, 16h
Four young pianists board a train from China to Germany. At each stop they get to know each other, share their music, traditions and favorite sounds. An entertaining journey about encounters and curiosity - surprising, humorous, full of discoveries.

17.01. - Concert: Lullabies from around the world, 11h
A musical journey around the world with singing, harpsichord, transverse flute and baroque violin. Lullabies from different cultures - sometimes gentle, sometimes cheerfully swaying like a boat on the sea. To listen to, marvel at and lull with.

18.01. - Concert: The lost melody, 16h
A cheeky wind whirls away the melody of a violinist! The adventurous search leads through Italy, Ireland and Norway - with new friends, sounds and surprises. A cheerful join-in concert with violin, harp, horn, trombone and cello.
