Glass art is created in the field of tension between heat, precision and vision. In contemporary art, glass is currently experiencing a remarkable renaissance - between traditional craftsmanship, technological innovation and artistic research.

In this event, the artist Olga Golos talks to Dr. Jörg Garbrecht, Director of the Alexander Tutsek-Stiftung, and Alexander Trommler, Project Manager of the Mayer'sche Hofkunstanstalt, about the technical, aesthetic and conceptual dimensions of contemporary glass art. The focus will be on the artist's material-related decisions, the complex production processes and the question of how new technologies and experimental workshop practice are redefining the medium of glass.

The panel will provide insights into the technical background of the glass works, shed light on the artistic motivation for working with glass and present innovations and pioneering projects in this field. Particular attention will be paid to the collaborative working process between the artist and the glass workshop - a sensitive interplay of ideas, experience and precision craftsmanship. A conversation about the material as a medium of expression, about the potential of glass in the contemporary art context and about a new generation of artistic positions that continue to think about the medium with radical openness and technical curiosity.

The talk will be complemented by a curator's tour of the Bergson Gallery exhibition SOME WEATHER in the former coal silos, which also presents works by Olga Golos.
