The weight loss injection - the end for extreme obesity and diabetes?
An evening with Prof. Dr. med. Dr. h.c. Matthias H. Tschöp and Prof. Dr. Matthias Blüher

The weight loss injection - the end for extreme obesity and diabetes?

At a time when obesity and diabetes are posing ever greater challenges for the healthcare system worldwide, innovative therapies are being hotly debated. One of these is currently causing a stir: the so-called "weight loss injection". But what can this new medical option really do? Is it a breakthrough in the fight against obesity and diabetes or just another interim step? To shed light on this, we rely on a direct exchange between research, clinical practice and the personal experiences of those affected.

Prof. Dr. med. Dr. h.c. Matthias Tschöp, CEO of Helmholtz Munich and the world's leading expert in diabetes research, will explain the scientific background and potential of this innovative treatment. Prof. Dr. med. Matthias Blüher, Head of the Obesity Research Group at the University of Leipzig, sees obesity sufferers in daily practice and will give a well-founded overview of the clinical application and current status of the therapy. A patient will give a first-hand account of her experiences with obesity and the effects of new forms of treatment.

Join us as experts and patients discuss the future of obesity therapy. Discuss with us: Can weight loss injections really mean the end of extreme obesity and diabetes? What are the opportunities and risks? An evening full of information, discussions and new perspectives awaits you.

Prof. Dr. med. Dr. h.c. Matthias Tschöp is CEO of Helmholtz Munich and a leading expert in the research of metabolic diseases, in particular diabetes and obesity. He holds a doctorate in medicine and has developed several innovative therapies targeting hormonal balance to treat metabolic disorders.
