The concert series “Notes & Neurons—Music for Brain Health” combines music, neuroscience, and cutting-edge medical technology into a unique live experience as part of the Year of Science 2026. On November 8, 2026, the classical music edition will come to Munich’s Bergson Kunstkraftwerk.
The lineup features baritone Konstantin Krimmel, Magdalena Hoffmann, principal harpist of the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra (BRSO), and a string quartet composed of members of the BRSO. Together with an ensemble of about 200 singers and musicians from the choir and orchestra of the University Hospital of Bonn, they will perform the musical portion of the event.
Also on hand: the world’s first portable MRI system.
You, too, can be part of the experiment: Test your music knowledge via an app and take part in live scientific experiments. Renowned scientists will answer your questions about brain health.
Great music meets fascinating insights into our brain —a science concert for everyone who wants to not only listen to music but also understand and experience it.
Just to be safe, bring a fully charged smartphone—you’ll need it!
Families, children, and teens are especially welcome.
