Migration is a central topic of social and political debate. It brings with it a variety of changes and raises fundamental questions about social participation, the design of integration processes and how to deal with social diversity. Under the title "Migration and integration: opportunities and challenges", the evening offers a scientifically sound discussion of current developments in this field.
Prof. Dr. Magdalena Nowicka, sociologist and head of the Integration Department at the German Centre for Integration and Migration Research (DeZIM), will provide insights into her research on the integration of migrants, the role of institutional framework conditions and social attitudes towards migration. The lecture will address both the potential and the challenges associated with migration movements and integration processes.
