Katja Eichinger presents "Money" at Bergson: a thriller full of power and secrets
Only death is free...
We are delighted to welcome Katja Eichinger to Bergson, who will be presenting her exciting crime novel "Geld" (Money): Karla Werfel's first major case at the Munich District Court involves a labyrinth of wealth, power and family guilt: family patriarch and shady businessman Duschek is accused of money laundering and unfair business practices. Whether through art dealing with an aging pop star in Monte Carlo or dubious real estate deals with the Austrian aristocracy, there is a cover-up, a smokescreen and a cover-up. When an important witness is found dead, the trial becomes increasingly shaky. Karla abandons her judicial neutrality and begins her own investigations. When she finds herself caught in the crosshairs of intrigue, she realizes that this money is dangerous.
