New Album "Timbre" – hilde Live at Bergson
“hilde” is back: In April 2024, the all-female quartet—based in North Rhine-Westphalia and London—was one of the very first guest performances at Bergson. At that time, we presented a concert featuring Marie Daniels (vocals), Julia Brüssel (violin), Emily Wittbrodt (cello), and Maria Trautmann (trombone) on the Beletage, in our large boiler hall, amidst the rugged industrial charm of the former heating plant—and we were immediately captivated. This time, hilde awaits you in the concert hall with her new album “Timbre”—full of tender, deeply moving music that invites you to settle in, close your eyes, and forget the outside world for a moment. “Timbre” is an album with character that reveals itself through its flexible simultaneity and wholeness. The band succeeds right from the start in freeing itself from all categorical constraints. It needs no definitions, reference points, or explanations, but rather unfolds within the coordinates of time and space with such naturalness and independence as if it had always been there.
hilde was nominated for the German Jazz Prize in 2026 in the Live Act of the Year category.
