"From the ashes of our fear" at Bergson: An evening with Hamadan Hasun
With her first book "Out of the Ashes of Our Fear", activist and creator
Hamadan Hasun now brings her moving story live to Bergson Kunstkraftwerk. You can expect an emotional evening about flight, identity, empowerment and the power of sisterhood.
As the daughter of a Yazidi family who had to flee to Germany to escape the genocide in Iraq, Hamadan Hasun talks about her experiences between trauma, the pressure to perform and the desire to belong. She speaks openly and uncompromisingly about racism, patriarchal structures and the feeling of never being "enough" - and about how she learned to raise her voice.
With great approachability, humor and attitude, Hamadan Hasun creates a space for
cohesion and courage. The focus is on the power of women who strengthen each other instead of working against each other.
Hamadan Hasun has been using her reach on Instagram and TikTkok for years to give visibility to marginalized voices and openly address social grievances. Her live tour combines personal stories, social issues and inspiring impulses
