Delta V combines the classical string quartet with electronic soundscapes

The Delta V Ensemble is a string quartet whose first distinctive feature lies in its composition: At its core is a composer! Not as an addition, but as a founding member. This approach shapes the ensemble’s identity and opens up possibilities that go beyond those of a traditional quartet. Behind Delta V are five friends who, over the years, have repeatedly found themselves sharing the stage in a wide variety of projects, performances, and cities. At some point, they felt the desire to no longer simply bring others’ musical ideas to life, but to bring their own visions to life. The ensemble’s name says it all: In spaceflight, Delta-V refers to a spacecraft’s ability to change course, set a new direction, and venture into uncharted territory.

This is precisely where another unique aspect of the ensemble lies: translating classical music into a language with which the audience is already familiar. Not to explain or simplify it, but to create a connection and bridge the gap between the music and the people listening to it!

When was the last time music gave you real goosebumps? When you’re not just listening, but actually feel the first notes, your skin tingles, and for a moment you forget the whole world around you? Delta V created “GRAVITY” precisely for moments like these. An immersive musical experience where a classical string quartet meets live electronics. Pärt. Shostakovich. Glass. Schubert. But this isn’t a classical concert. You don’t need to know who Pärt is. You don’t need to know much about classical music either. No prior knowledge is required here. All you need here are your senses. The music guides you through four states: DRIFTING, FALLING, GROUNDING, and RISING. It shifts, becomes chaotic, disappears, and returns. And at some point, you realize: you’re no longer just listening. You’re right in the middle of it. GRAVITY is an experience that’s hard to put into words. Because there are some things you can’t hear. You have to experience them!
