Club Culture and Spirituality, Space and Sound

Club culture and spirituality, space and sound: With “For Heaven’s Sake,” the Jazzrausch Big Band transforms the former boiler house at the Bergson Kunstkraftwerk into a spectacular spatial production. Spanning multiple levels, the interplay between a 15-piece techno big band and an electronic church organ creates an immersive concert experience that incorporates the architecture itself into the music.

There, the ensemble’s entire dynamic sound spectrum unfolds as the musicians are positioned across multiple floors, creating a soundscape in which every note and every movement counts. The audience is invited to actively participate in the performance and not only experience the monumental space but also help shape it through their own movement and dancing.

“For Heaven’s Sake” is more than a concert—it is an invitation to experience sound as a living, ever-changing experience and to dissolve the boundaries between listening and active participation.
