The Italian pianist, producer and composer Federico Albanese invites you on a musical journey - to his native Monferrato, to the golden autumn of northern Italy, where blackbirds sing and sunlight dances through vines. In this concert in the Freiraum, you will experience how Federico elicits spherical, warm and calm sounds from the piano that will immediately cast a spell over you.

After living in Berlin for several years, Federico returned with his family to his homeland in the fall of 2022, to a picturesque landscape and with the feeling, as he says, "of being deeply connected to this place". The music for his new album "Blackbirds and the Sun of October", which he presents to you at Bergson, was created there. A tribute to origins, history and the magic of nature.

"Blackbirds and the Sun of October" includes compositions that seem timeless and draw on the classical musical traditions of the region, as well as more modern, experimental pieces - calming, bright, delicate.

Federico Albanese has invited Bryan Senti as a support act. Composer and multi-instrumentalist Bryan Senti will perform with violin and effects and will play songs from his latest album "Manu" to open the concert evening at Bergson.
He met Federico Albanese during his stay in Monferrato in Italy and the two became colleagues and good friends. This is the second tour on which he accompanies Federico Albanese.
