In his new solo program "Impressionists Improvised", pianist Chris Gall combines the fascinating soundscapes of impressionism with the freedom and energy of jazz.

In his highly energetic and enchanting improvisations on works by composers such as Claude Debussy, Maurice Ravel and Erik Satie, he explores the colorful and harmonic similarities between the two genres and brings them to life in a unique way.

150 years after a small group of alternative artists in Paris first described themselves as impressionists, Gall revives this movement in a new and modern way - effortlessly overcoming the stylistic boundaries of jazz, neo-classical and minimal music.

Known for his work with the band Quadro Nuevo, with whom he tours worldwide and has received the German Jazz Award several times, the Munich-based pianist also demonstrates his impressive versatility as a soloist and transports the audience into a magical world of sound in which the intense moods of impressionism are brought to life in a new way.
