Family Concert at Bergson: Sarah and the Nix
Want to enjoy a relaxing family day at the Bergson Kunstkraftwerk with great entertainment? With live music and illustrations? Then we have just the thing for you:
When was the last time you did absolutely nothing? For little Sarah, the greatest adventure of her life begins in just such a moment: she discovers the “Nix”—a dachshund-like creature that appears in moments of utter boredom. She gets caught up in a jewel heist, is wrongly suspected, and must find a way out of this mess with the help of the quirky Nix and her classmates.
How lucky that Sarah, now all grown up, can not only recount this incredible story in a way fit for the screen: In the meantime, Sarah Mettenleiter—a versatile musician—has been gathering ideas, including at Munich’s Residenztheater and with the Jazzrausch Big Band, to set the hilarious story of “Sarah and the Nix” to the finest music. The rhythms and beautiful melodies are masterfully performed by five musicians from the Munich music scene.
This one-hour story, featuring live music and illustrations, is a treat for children ages six and up and all adults—even if they haven’t encountered the Nix before.
Cast
Sarah Mettenleiter (piano, vocals, lyrics), Bettina Maier (saxophone), Moritz Renner (trombone), Flurin Mück (drums), Harald Scharf (bass)
