Two Portuguese words merge in the program and album title "AMARÉ": "a maré" - meaning the tides - and "amar é", which means "to love is...". In this BR Club concert, the trio thus opens up a thematic horizon, which they fill with their selection of their own compositions and classics of Brazilian music. Change and transformation as the fundamental constants of life, as well as devotion, adventure, playfulness, depth and universal energy are sung about and played around in such a way that an almost magical harmony is created: The versatile and colorful voice of Céline Rudolph interweaves with the clear runs and sonorous chord structures of guitarist João Luis Nogueira and pianist Henrique Gomide. Their joint music sounds organic and borne by the deepest understanding for each other. Their deeply internalized soundscapes - African heritage, chamber music intonation and the joy of improvisation - make them contemporary Brazilian chamber jazz. The trio's common pulse is Brazil with its attitude to life and its musical history. This is where the two musicians, who live in Germany and the Netherlands, come from and where Céline Rudolph, who grew up in Berlin as the offspring of music-loving parents, has been drawn since her early youth by the soul of Brazil and the pulse of African music.

A recording of the concert will be broadcast by BR-KLASSIK on Friday, May 8, 2026, in "Jazztime". The concert will be available in the ARD Mediathek afterwards.
