Now it's time to heat things up - we're finally bringing metal to the former heating plant.
Get ready for hard riffs, deep djent and breakdowns that you'll still be feeling the next day. In the first edition of our Bergson Metal Fest, we're presenting a line-up in the imposing Atrium that's really something: Siamese, Tenside, Chaosbay, As Time Went By and the newly founded Bergson Metal band Barbastella will really show you what's what.
SIAMESE
The Danish metalcore band has consistently won hearts around the world in recent years. Their latest album "Super Human" from 2019 passed the 15 million streams mark in December 2020. Since then, the band has toured tirelessly around the globe - including with Dead by April, Oceans Ate Alaska, Coheed and Cambria, Dead Letter Circus and many more. As an outstanding live act, SIAMESE are today regarded as one of the most active figureheads of the Danish rock scene.
TENSIDE
Founded in 2005, the band has been delighting an international fan community with their modern metal sound for more than fifteen years, combining influences from metalcore, thrash and industrial metal to create their completely unique and instantly recognizable trademark style. After highly acclaimed albums such as "NOVA" (2013) and "Convergence" (2017) "Glamour & Gloom" (2020), TENSIDE achieved their greatest success to date with the longplayer "Come Alive Dying" released in January 2024 and entered the German Top 100 Album Charts at number 6.
CHAOSBAY
Prog, djent, core, pop - CHAOSBAY from Berlin are keeping the metal world on tenterhooks. Millions of streams, major festivals such as Wacken, sold-out shows and successful headlining tours prove it: CHAOSBAY have established themselves as one of the most exciting metalcore acts in Europe. Hardly any other band combines virtuoso prog-metalcore with radio-friendly hooklines in such a unique way. Known for their tireless work ethic, they repeatedly create masterpieces of timeless metal compositions that guarantee both headbanging and frenetic sing-alongs. Brutal riffing and screaming meets angelic vocals and powerful melodies. Comparisons with djent giants such as PERIPHERY or MONUMENTS are just as obvious as associations with metalcore legends à la I PREVAIL, BRING ME THE HORIZON or BAD OMENS. With their energetic, impressive live shows, CHAOSBAY have long since earned a reputation as an excellent live band - and continue to deliver timeless catchy tunes that are second to none.
AS TIME WENT BY
As Time Went By stand for modern metalcore with nu-metal vibes: hard, atmospheric and absolutely catchy. With driving riffs, brutal breakdowns and big choruses, they provide the soundtrack for emotional moments of demolition - on record and on stage. Live, the band unleashes pure energy and sweeps every audience away. Modern. Powerful. Unforgettable.
MAY THE TEMPEST
“HUSSAAH!” - Those who have seen them live know it, the rest will love it. This is how the five guys from May the Tempest from Munich get themselves in the mood before every performance, clapping their hands together. It doesn't get any more exciting than this! May The Tempest (Lucci // Shouts, Jonas//Guitar+Clean Vocals, Andi//Guitar, Patrick//Drums, and Roley//Bass) toured regionally and nationally with their debut EP “Siren” (October 2015), followed by the single “Bitter Taste” (summer 2016), and toured the Baltic States with metalcore legends “Miss May I” (summer 2018). With their current singles “Different” (February 2020), “Ghost” (March 2020), and ‘Nowhere’ (August 2020), they were able to play a sold-out headliner show at Munich's Backstage Werk in the summer of 2020 despite Corona, as well as supporting “Annisokay” on the summer stage of Munich's Olympic Stadium.
