Art at the Intersection of People, Nature, and Technology

This guided tour will give you fascinating insights and background information on the new exhibition EARTH MATTERS at the Bergson Gallery.

The exhibition focuses on the complex interplay between humans, nature, and technology, using artistic approaches that are both analytical and poetic to highlight the urgency of treating the Earth with care. Featuring works by five internationally renowned artists—Olaf Otto Becker, Andreas Greiner, Kathrin Linkersdorff, Maximilian Prüfer, and Tamiko Thiel—the exhibition addresses central questions of our time: the consequences of industrialization, the effects of humanity’s drive for optimization, and the not always predictable consequences of technological developments.

Digital works, photographs, sculptures, and the unique technique of nature printing open up new perspectives on ecological systems, biological life forms, and technical artifacts in the ground floor and mezzanine of the Bergson Gallery—and their potential to bring about change and transformation both with and independently of human intervention.
