No other religious occasion has given rise to so many Alpine songs as the Christmas story.

The "Spielmusik" Karl Edelmann is currently one of the best-known folk music groups in the Alpine region. With musical dedication and chamber music precision, they perform fine melodies, minuets, staade Landler, yodels and lively pastoral music.

"Classics" such as "Es wird scho glei dumpa" and the "Andachtsjodler" alternate with musical gems from the Bavarian Alps.

Accompanying this, Maximilian Maier reads dialect texts for the Christmas season, sometimes humorous, sometimes contemplative.

Look forward to an Advent evening of folk music in Europe's smartest concert hall and let the subtle stories and simple melodies and songs of our traditional Bavarian folk music put you in the mood for a happy, blessed Christmas.
