Europe is not just Brussels or Strasbourg. Europe begins where we live and work: in our cities and municipalities. Our municipalities are the heart and backbone of our country - they form the foundation of our democracy and are the key to a fair, sustainable future.

How is Europe shaping our cities and municipalities? Ahead of the local elections in Bavaria, experts will provide an overview of the role of Europe in local politics. We will then discuss with candidates from various parties how they want to shape cooperation between municipalities and the EU. We welcome Dominik Krause (Bündnis 90/Die Grünen) and Julia Schmitt-Thiel (SPD, city councillor and European spokesperson for the parliamentary group), among others.
