We are founding the Bergson Gallery!

In the field of fine art, we have made our range even more diverse for you: In addition to KÖNIG BERGSON, our partnership with the globally active KÖNIG GALERIE, we have founded the DIGITAL ARTS CENTER featuring EMIXAR, which is dedicated to the future of art with immersive art exhibitions and modern technologies. We have also launched our own Bergson Gallery - a vibrant platform for established and emerging artists that responds to changes in the art world and its markets with innovative formats. From September 7, the curators of the Bergson Kunstkraftwerk will take over the artistic direction on the ground and mezzanine floors of the new building for the first time! The opening on the evening before (September 6) promises more than just a classic exhibition insight: You can also expect an artist talk, where all exhibiting artists will be present to answer your questions about their work first-hand and provide exciting insights.

"The surface is not only what is visible, but also what leads us to depth." - This quote from Walter Benjamin forms the conceptual foundation of the show:

BEYOND SURFACE shows portrait art that not only depicts people, but also focuses on urban structures and architectural "faces". Sometimes robots replace the artistic hand, sometimes a work literally holds up a mirror to the audience. The exhibition views the portrait as an encounter and as a process that can unfold in countless variations.
