In the beginning there was the shanty choir. Sounds strange, but it's true. Because - for whatever reason - as a four-year-old, Aljoscha was so fascinated by the full sound of men's voices accompanied by a rhythmic, juicy accordion that he thought: "That'd be great! A little later, however, it became clear that the really cool guys play the trumpet. And he plays it without committing himself to anyone or anything, why should he? Chamber music, orchestra, band - when it comes to music, Aljoscha focuses on the mixture of craftsmanship, art and social structure. When everything fits, it creates an atmosphere for the audience and musicians that has to be experienced. His goal is to create this feeling again and again, because it can be addictive. Just like falafel in Berlin.
