Julian is a true gentleman and belongs to the small circle of band intellectuals. As an Upper Bavarian bon vivant, he loves to enjoy all the little and big things in life. Julian stands out in particular as a flowery storyteller and accomplished voice imitator. When he was on particularly good form on a trip abroad, he brought the whole band to the brink of madness with a single joke. For hours there was nothing but hysteria and screaming. The performance of this joke has of course been banned ever since. His great solos have rightly earned our Christmas programs the nickname "Christmas with Julian Hesse". In addition to his humor and distinctive musicality, Julian has an impressive general knowledge and thinks a lot about the jazz scene of tomorrow. The Münchner Merkur once wrote about him "From Miesbach to New York City". We agree with this and add: "And fortunately back again".
